LAST UPDATE 05/10/2012..
Cirrus Minor is a psychedelic rock band with the rare ability to jam the jam crowds, rock the rock crowds, and go smoothly from shaking people?s butts to melting people?s faces in any setting. They make each show a unique experience, leaving a trail of fans in their wake wherever they go.
The Boxing Lesson is a group of psychedelic progressive rock musicians based in Austin, TX. Currently a space rock power trio with synthesizers performing the bass player's role. Upcoming Possibilities LP was produced by Chris "Frenchie" Smith (Trail of Dead, Jet, Built to Spill, Dandy Warhols).
Throne of Vengeance is a heavy hitting Rock n Roll band that will bring you the classic metal guitar licks and wide range vocal melodies influenced by the great metal bands of our time you so desperately miss: Iron Maiden, Dio, Megadeth.. mixed with a modern sound and driven by passion and true musicianship.
Octainium - We are a band who doesn't sound like anyone else out there. Our genre itself is really wide, from acoustic- through to metal. We aspire to write bouncy riffs, catchy chorusses, melodic hooklines & technical solos, mixing clean and growling vocals in the heavier songs. We are Octainium!
Metrognome - Six projections of music come together; six persuasions of awareness create; six roots constitute Metrognome.
Sankara - What they sound like is a '70's influenced rock band with melodic pop sensibilities who occasionally like to get slightly progressive. Perhaps the Killers channeling Led Zeppelin or Elton John fronting UFO.
Xerosun - Exploding out of the Irish music scene with sonic ferocity, XEROSUN are a musical force to be reckoned with. A delicate balance of Metal, Rock and Industrial, their music is precise and devastating in its poetic delivery.
Labirinto - Tempos with unexpected climaxes and anticlimaxes in an music full of images, a multiple and sensorial experience that gets colored while the instrumental evolution suggests unexpected trips.
Deadiron - With the melody of Scandinavian metal and harmony reminiscient of Iron Maiden, Deadiron represents a return and reimagination of classic heavy metal with the crushing gain and aggression of the modern.
Common Bond - Combining elements of Hardcore, Metalcore and Deathcore and drawing inspiration from all genres of music, Common Bond are a young, hard working band from a small town who are pushing themselves to write music that is fresh and unique and spread it across Australia and the world.
UnDying - Will performs a fierce building of power seems to rise in the audience. From the real lyrics, the band sends a powerful melodic interplay of different time signatures, tempos, and rhythms of brute force to its onlooker. An undeniable effect is made leaving the listener wanting to experience it again and again.
Jericho Pie - Once you've tasted a slice of Jericho Pie's  musical talents, you are lefting wanting more and the band's own songs, like ''Everything" and ''Apologies to All'' to name but a few,  reflect just a bit of what you can expect from Jericho Pie.
A Darker Day - I think we stand out with our great stage presence and heavy riff's ! we like to interact with the crowd and make every show a night to remember!
Reborn In Fire is a band that bridges together the fundamentals of traditional thrash metal and elements of metalcore to create a type of "New American Metal" that is more approachable to audiences than in recent years.
Sunday Recovery - And there is absolutely no reason why the world should not be theirs. They've got the slow-fast-slow-here comes the bridge - swell to an epic finish template down pat, and there are more than enough Radioheady bits to keep the serious rock press happy while the girls get weepy and the lads get beery.
Excuse You - Seattle's downbeat Rock band, live and breathe their music as part of life's journey not the goal. 'Excuse You' - (Down beat groove rock) adding uncharted depth to the Seattle sound.
Daylight Industries taps into your subconscious and takes you on a roller coaster ride through your dreams and memories providing a sound scape of a euphoric and chaotic reality.
The River Neva - The force of The River Neva dispenses effects of despair, anguish, and total infatuation, and draws you nearer. Taste a dark melodic metal progression unlike anything else you've experienced. River Neva shows us that keeping it simple is an atrocity and induces violence in their wake.
Athanator - Metal band that blend old school with aggressive thrash sounds, hellish lyrics, plus fast and furious riffs supported by marching beats that fill any brain with schizophrenic metal. A mix between Slayer, Metallica and Kreator with classic and modern touches giving insane and frenetic sounds.
Summoned Tide are an unsigned tight and melodious metal band from Robertsfors, Sweden, with influences from classic hard rock like Uriah Heep and early Helloween to metal like Iron Maiden, Queensryche and Europe.
Chameleonize is a hard rock band based in Toronto Canada.  Their mission is:  To bring energy and great guitar playing back to rock n' roll.  With seemless songs and organic chemistry they embody the spirit of raw rock power!
Chasing Eve - Inspired by Finger Eleven, Incubus and Tool, and hailing from the GTA, our aspirations are to record and perform forever. It's with those thoughts in mind we strive to be the best, the loudest AND the most gracious to our fans.
Cardinal Synne are here to seek out the Witches, Heathen and listeners of tripe among  you and led by Brother Swift thout shall follow the law of Cardinal Synne. Ye will forever follow the rythmic, melodic chanting of the bretheren or forever be branded a fool.
Cerca Trova is a Rock/Alt. Rock/ Hard Rock band from NOVA/DC area. After selling out shows for 6 years they are only getting bigger and better!
Seven Years Past - This SW Florida rock act provided direct support for Tantric's summer 2010 tour w/recent opening slots with Saving Abell, Taproot and Stereoside.
Unveil The Strength - Brutal rhythms, intense drumming, thundering bass guitar, screaming solos, and frontal assault vocals are just a few words that could describe the performance of Los Angeles based metal band Unveil The Strength. Check out their debut EP titled The Awakening and Unveil The Strength!
Outer Sanctum - We are a high energy Christian Hard Rock/Alternative Rock band.
Dead II Me - Youngstown metal masters Dead II Me have recently finished work on their new EP. We've always been of the opinion that metal is the hardest genre to do well and the easiest to do badly  and these guys NAIL it. Take note, headbangers ? Dead II Me strives for both originality and brutality. they're it.
Slyde - A mix of hard rock riffage and retro synthesizer- based soundscapes, topped with emotionally charged vocal work.  High-energy hard rock with a perfect balance of catchy hooks, interesting song structures and strong musicianship.
L-SKI - Take Led Zeppelin, Steely Dan, and Yes, and throw it in a blender with the Stone Temple Pilots and Red Hot Chili Peppers, and you'd have a recipe for L-SKI. A unique, hard-hitting original modern rock band, L-SKI is bringing back rock and roll with guitar driven, high-octane live performances.
Vangough spits fiery madness by drenching your ears with a purple sunrise of melodic cocaine and a not-so-subtle approach to reading you the story behind today?s headlines.
Underground Fly - ?It is not pop but it is not rock either. It is Underground Fly." "They don't deserve a place underground, but in the mainstream of ambitious rock."
The Manhattan Syndrome mix an alternative and post rock soundscape with pop song sensibilities, making loud momentous songs that maintain an emphasis on melodic vocals and lyrics that explore feelings of isolation and alienation.
Inverta is transendence returning to music. A complexion of Tool, Deftones, and Karnivool. A fusion of hard rock and progressive metal.
Broken Rail - Clean tones meet harsh, crisp, raging techniques of rock blended precisely to express the raw emotion behind each song, complimented by grunge, yet pure, vocals.
Spellbound Dazzle - Modern grooving metal with danceable parts, a lot of tempo-changes and progressive elements combined with folk and polka rhythms. Influences I hear are Extreme, Kiss (The Foolin' of Each Other), Anthrax (So Close) and even?tunes of Metallica's "Orion"?(Rullo). Poppy groovy music with a metallic edge.
Aoeria - Led by a rocking duo of guitar and drums with melodic singing, Aoeria is a NY rock band with unwinding & enfolding songs, memorable melodies, and intricate rhythms. Aoeria explores new avenues in songwriting to diversify & expand rock music by mixing inspirations, styles and a drive for innovation.
Bult represents technical, insane odd beat yet musical metal/hardcore with a groove. On stage, Bult delivers a ferociously energetic live show that leaves you with the odd sensation of getting your head smacked and liking it.
Seed is a 4 piece band from Owen Sound, Ontario. Nominated for the Best Metal Award at the 2010 Barrie New Music Festival.
Lost Generation - The band shares a common love and influence from bands such as AC/DC, Scorpions, Alice Cooper and Ozzy Osbourne. The music is a little dark, a little gloomy, but rockin' with a punch!
Beyond The Labyrinth is a unique band that play accessible Classic/Melodic Rock. They were formed in 1996 and have, released 3 albums.
Ben Rusch - "One of the most inventive and talented songwriters in the business today"  - Isaac Davis Jr., Editor in Chief of Junior's Cave Online Magazine.
Kill Mercy - A stimulating new sound that appeals to many and is hard to pinhole into one specific genre. Creating a textural melodic fusion of progressive, psychedelic, rock, and metal that is fresh to the ear.
Shatter - A band of Outlaws and Misfits! "SHATTER is a throwback to the wilder, crazier days of rock-n-roll with an energetic, emotional, unpredictable, and unforgettable show." Opened for many national acts, recorded debut album w/Tesla in Sacramento, CA. Played over 200 shows in less than 3 years.
Head Crusher - Being a band from South America is not easy. When you start playing with the crappiest equipment and the most unsupportive promoters you really have to work your ass off. Head Crusher has Killer riffs, punishing drums, intense vocals and songs you can break your neck to.
Royalush - This solid band is currently promoting their new CD 'It's Only Kinky the First Time' to great reviews. The single 'American Cliche' is climbing the charts. Royalush won "Breakthrough Artist of the Year" at the NM Award & is featured in the LINE6 Spider Amp's selling over 1 million units worldwide!
Midas Fate released a new single, "What Dreams May Come", with Mike DiMeo (ex-Masterplan) on vocals. It was mixed by Paulo Brancaccio at Diesel Studio and mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studio.
Burning Black's new album, makes a statement: we live, love, and play US Power Metal - no compromises. The sharp yet smooth style somehow reminds you of West Coast Metal in its heyday: a perfect combination of aggressive riffing and those trademark vocals parts.

CORALSPIN
"The Honey and Lava"

UK "modprog" band Coralspin's prog-rock epics and beautiful ballads have been described as "early Queen sung by Kate Bush". Their other influences include 70's Genesis, Led Zeppelin, Muse, Sandy Denny, Yes, Ben Folds, Todd Rundgren and Rush. Top UK prog site Silhobbit says: "We here at Silhobbit.com reckon that outlaw-prog band Coralspin will be one of the new bands you'll be taking notice of next year". With their soaring vocals, classic songwriting, irresistible melodies and powerful performances they'll make you feel shaken and stirred.
COALITION
"In Search of Forever"

Coalition are a UK based symphonic prog rock band. They are fast gaining a worldwide following and have already had some of their music played by radio stations in Canada, America and the UK. Coalition first album "In Search of Forever" was released on 30 March 2012 and already has gained them a worldwide following, with radio play on a number of radio stations, including AiiRadio, Radio Caroline and others.
HEADSPACE
I Am Anonymous

Headspace began innocently enough; as a way for a close circle of musician friends to reconnect. There were no preconceptions of launching a prog metal band, and certainly no visions of grandeur. The title of the album has the finger pointed directly at the listener. This is about you and your relationship with humanity, ultimately the battles fought within the mind from child to man. Through Kubler Ross? model of impending death, with reference to war, the turmoil leads us to peace and acceptance... only then to swing straight back round to chaos.
CHILDREN IN
PARADISE
" Esyllt"

They are a french band, their music is inspired by "Atmospheric - Progressiv Rock - Celtic music" but really dificult to catalog actually:).... jazz influences also ... But "Children in Paradise invites you to travel between Myths, Dreams and Reality. Fragile balance between light and tear, the melodies and rhythms to take you on a pervasive melancholy and authenticity that make the charm. Guitars and traditional Celtic instruments harp, uilleann pipes and low whistle, combine with a soft voice and mystical, that of Kat Dam, and gently lead you towards the path of the Other World ... "
THE SKYS
"Colours of the
Desert"

The album features Dave Kilminster (Roger Waters band) - guitar; John Young (ex-Scorpions, Bonnie Tyler) - keyboards, bac vocs, producer; Snake Davis (Eurythmics, P.McCartney, Ray Charles, James Brown, etc.) - sax; Martin Beedle (Cutting Crew, Sarah Brightman, etc) - drums; Tony Spada (Holding Pattern) - guitar; Anne Marie Helder (Mostly Autumn, Panic Room) - bac voc. The Album recorded in Mamas Studio (Vilnius, Lithuania) and Liscombe Park Studios (London, UK) famous for Uriah Heep and Asia recordings. Mixed by Steve Rispin (Tina Turner, Elton John, Asia, Tankard, etc)
OVERHEAD
"Of Sun And Moon"

Finnish rock-band Overhead signs with a German record label. Progressive Promotion Records will release Overhead's long awaited fourth album titled "Of Sun and Moon" in June. The music ranging from Rock, Pop and Metal, the new album has a fresh and original sound: diverse and intense. The band and the label are very confident and have high hopes for "Of Sun and Moon". One new song from the album, "Aftermath", is available for listen for free on Overhead's home page and in social medias. More new material is promised later this week when the pre-orders start.
INVERTIGO
Veritas

InVertigo - this means a blend of art rock and fine neo-prog, situated somewhere between complexity and catchiness, epic structures and radio affinity, 11/8 and 4/4. InVertigo's songs mirror influences by progressive rock bands such as Genesis, Yes, Spock's Beard, Marillion, The Flower Kings or Porcupine Tree - but do sound completely different. Symphonic compositions, multilayered arrangements, variations of key, tempo and rhythm, constant changes and surprising twists make up their songs. And yet: InVertigo make sure the songs' musical content prevails. Even though the compositions are usually quite long, the song itself and demanding but catchy melodies are the primary focus.
EDISON'S CHILDREN
In the Last Waking Moments...

In the Last Waking Moments is a collaboration between Eric Blackwood, formerly of metal band Crimson Steele and collaborator with other major rock artists such as Al Pitrelli, and Pete Trewavas, bassist with Marillion since the band's inception, and also a founding member of prog supergroup, Transatlantic. The project first came to my attention on the site's forum, where it was trailed as a project which featured as guest artists all members of Marillion, a first for all the band to be included on a non Marillion album. Given the enduring popularity of this incredible band, this is, of course, a massive plus in terms of potential commercial success. What, though, does need to be made abundantly clear at the start of this review is that this is absolutely not a Marillion album. Such a description would not only be grossly unfair to Blackwood, a huge driving force on the creation of the work, but would also be utterly wide of the mark in terms of its sound and direction.
SIX ELEMENTS
"Primary Elements"

Atlanta-based progressive rock band Six Elements was founded in 2007 by keyboardist Michael (Misha) Shengaout, whose dream was to create conceptual music combining meaningful, inspiring lyrics (like Rudyard Kipling's famous poem "If") with arrangements in the tradition of Russian Romantic composers (think Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky). Misha spent the next two years developing material for the band's first album. Critics compare the band's vocals to early Genesis with Peter Gabriel with solo guitars reminiscent of Pink Floyd. Whatever their influences, Six Elements' vocals and guitars are harmonic gift wrap for the band's message, which Victorian novelist George Eliot summed up well: "It's never too late to be what you might have been". Not surprisingly, the album's break-out single is the song "If", which channels the inspirational words of Rudyard Kipling's poem "If". The song is featured prominently on the first page of the bi-monthly webzine "All Things If", which is devoted to the ideals of this poem.
TEE
"Trans-Europe Expression"

TEE is a five piece flute-front progressive rock band from Tokyo, Japan. The origin of TEE was formed in 2005 as an euro-rock (PFM, Area, etc.) cover band named "Euro Express". After the 1st gig in May 2006, the band decided to play original materials then the band name was changed to "The Earth Explorer". The original line-up was Katsumi Yoneda (guitar), Ryuji Yonekura (keyboards, ex Interpose+), Kenji Imai (flute) and Yukio Iigahama (bass). The line-up was completed with the addition of drummer Takayuki Asada later. Check album previews and making video clips.
