Unreal City is a new glamorous discovery, that come from Italy. Nowadays, the band is comprised by four highly knowledgeable musicians, and oddly enough, all very young, with an important attention, all them with an outstanding musical creativity. It's possible mention a hundred Italian Progressive Rock bands, that knows how to fuse the emotional feeling together with the intellectuality musical, in perfect compositions, and we can certainly include the Unreal City band of this select group of precious great new Italian bands. The musical background of band members is wide, diverse and astonishing, each musician brings in their "curriculum", a strong musical structure and well diversified, adding a blending of many intriguing ingredients and different styles, that come together to create a extremely powerful music, turning their musical experiences into a highly rewarding and thrilling trip. The musicians on Unreal City has a startling ability to introduce a variety of musical elements into their compositions, combining different components from many kind and of musical ways such as Progressive Rock, Art Rock, Hard Rock, Post Rock and Jazz Fusion, complementing the arrangements with a high level of symphonic musical structure. It is apparent that this young musicians are not afraid to experiment new musical ways, and in this case, you can believe, the formula works fully in all compositions. They know how to play a well balanced and exciting Progressive Rock, with excellent arrangements, exploring all the resources from all the instruments. In all musical passages, the guitar solos are constant, synthesizer and Hammond, Minimoog, Mellotron, Organ liturgical, Fender Rhodes, Clavinet, Harpsichord dominates all the arrangements, however, bass gives a strong emphasis to melodie, but all supported by solid drums sound, showing a dynamic and potent rhythm, but, without aggressiveness. "Il Paese Del Tramonto" contains seven tracks, 70  minutes of a pure musical emotion, no doubt, all tracks have an excellent musical performance, but, of all there are some that are incredibles, of course  here are my favorites: "Oniromanzia", "Caligari", "La Meccanica dell'ombra", "Il Nome di Lei" and the amazing "Ex Tenebrae Lux" is a fantastic "suite", full of epic and atmospheric proportions, with a time duration of more than 20 minutes, divided into four parts. In fact, the Unreal City's music, runs totally around a symphonic masterpiece, while some arrangements are fast, in others, are atmospherics. Do not think twice to listen to this wonderful album and learn more about this fantastic young band, you can bet that you will not regret. If you like of "Montefeltro", "Foglie Di Vetro", "Corte dei Miracoli", "Il Trono dei Ricordi", "Sensitiva Immagine", "Premiata Forneria Marconi", "Calliope", "Banco del Mutuo Soccorso", "Nuova Era", "Finisterre", "La Torre dell'Alchimista", "La Maschera di Cera", "Le Orme", "Alphataurus", "Locanda Delle Fate", "Maxophone", "Museo Rosenbach", "Ibis", "Odissea", "Il Castello di Atlante", "Cherry Five", "Latte e Miele", "Living Life", "Consorzio Acqua Potabile", "Corte dei Miracoli", you will love Unreal City. Unreal City born in Parma in 2008 from the ashes of “The Syllogism”. The two founders, Emanuele Tarasconi (keyboards, theremin and lead vocals) and Francesca Zanetta (guitar), met in the private studio of Emanuele to build, from the ground up, a complex and challenging project: bring back the classic sounds of progressive, symphonic and psychedelic art rock of the ‘70s in a modern music mood, trying not to simulate but to magnify the vintage and typical side of that period.

The band, which name come from founders’ common passion for “The Waste Land” by T.S. Eliot, began to play live.

In 2012 the band published their first EP, “Unreal City”, containing 3 song with English lyrics.

In 2013 Unreal City recorded their first album, produced by Mirror Records/BTF with the artistic direction of Fabio Zuffanti (Finisterre, Hostsonaten, Maschera di Cera) titled “La Crudeltà Di Aprile”.

The album, released on 24th April, 2013 climbs many Prog Rock charts and in a few months became one of the best (and most reviewed) Progressive Rock albums of 2013.

The album is now at the 8th place in Prog Archives chart of best Prog Rock albums of 2013.

The band performed on many great stages as Cre. Sta Festival at the Porto Antico of Genoa and Metarock Festival with Banco del Mutuo Soccorso in Pisa.

In 2014 the promotional tour continues with great international festival such as Riviera Prog Festival (at Fiera Internazionale della Musica in Genoa) and Terra Incognita Progressif Festival in Québec City, Canada, where they received a great appreciation from the critic and the audience.
