Il Giardino Onirico is a new amazing discovery, that come from Italy. Nowadays, the band is formed by six highly knowledgeable musicians, all them with an outstanding creativity. The musical background of band members is wide, diverse and astonishing, each one bring in their "curriculum", a strong structure well diversified, a blending of many intriguing ingredients and different styles, that come together to create really a kind of very powerful music, turning their musical experiences into a highly rewarding trip. The musicians on this band has a startling ability to introduce a variety of musical elements into their compositions, combining different components from many kind of musical ways such as Progressive Rock, Art Rock, Progressive Metal, Ambient, Post Rock, Melodic Doon, Jazz Fusion, adding Electronic, Psychedelic and Gothic textures, complementing, with many symphonic ingredients. It is apparent that the musicians on the band are not afraid to experiment new musical ways, and in this case, you can believe, the formula works fully. They know how to play a well balanced and a modern Progressive Rock, with excellent arrangements, making full use of all instruments. Guitar solos, synthesizer and keyboards dominate all arrangements, however, bass gives a strong emphasis to melodie, but all supported by a solid drums sound, showing a dynamic and potent rhythm, but, without aggressiveness. In fact, the Il Giardino Onirico's music, runs totally around a symphonic masterpiece, while some arrangements are fast, in others, are atmospherics. Their first composition � a long suite named "Complesso K" - was performed alive in September 2009, winning the first place at the �Salefino Rock� contest for emerging bands. "Perigeo" is the first full length album of Il Giardino Onirico, and a new interesting release from Lizard Records, including five long instrumental tracks, almost 52 minutes of a pure musical delight, all the tracks contain a high level of musicianship, without distinguishing, what is the best track on this album. Musically, all songs are well crafted and diverse in tempo and structure, all them features solid arrangements, including lyrics narrations, with strong focus in a mystic atmosphere, however, I have my preferences, of course, I recommend listen all tracks from this album with special attention, but, two songs are more than superb, a masterpiece of progressive music of this album, they are "Utopia Planitia" and "Perigeo". You must enjoy this album and this incredible band. Il Giardino Onirico follows in the same musical line and blendig styles from famous bands such as "Riverside", �Il Castello Di Atlante�, "ELP", "Pink Floyd", "Porcupine Tree", "Ozric Tentacles", "King Crimson", "New Trolls", "PFM", "Area", "Trip", "Il Balletto di Bronzo", "Metamorfosi", "Arena", "KnightArea" and so on. Brilliant and fantastic, an amazing album and an incredible band, highly recommendable... The

GIARDINO ONIRICO
Il Giardino Onirico (The Onirical Garden) came from Civita Castellana, Italy, was formed in September 2008 when keyboard player Emanuele �Vastitas� Telli (from �Consummatum Est� doom metal band), guitarist Stefano Avigliana, bass player Ettore Mazzarini (also in the �Pioggia Sporca� rock band line-up) and drummer Massimo Moscatelli (ex-�Anomal Essence� member) combined their individual strength to give voice and freedom to the energy running madly in their heads.
It�s
easy to imagine that, what comes out from such diverse musical cultures,
is something difficult to define and label. The most appropriate term could
be progressive, but intended in a wider sense�
It�s with this line-up that they develop their first composition entitled �Complesso K� which is a shifting suite filled with a variety of visions and, thanks to this first effort, in September 2009 they are awarded as the winners of the Salefino Rock emerging band music contest.
Afterwards,
in October 2009 a new member joins the band: Dario Hakim. Being an enthusiast
of prog rock, metal but also of funk, electronic and synth pop, he inserts
himself as generator of ambient and sound effects and his contribution
rises the band to a new level and emphasizes even more the visionary component
of their music. In this period the band records a demo entitled Complesso
K.
After
the release of Complesso K, Il Giardino Onirico begins
to compose new material with the arrival of Marco Marini, poet, painter
and photographer who joined in the band with his narrative vocals.
What the six members create is a fleeting and schizophrenic fantasy that tunnels the listener in a dimension made of sensations and synaesthesia, an onirical dimension made of dreams.. and why not� nightmares�
