Again another gem Switzerland, from Zurich, arrives for your listening pleasure. They are called Marblewood, gently classified as psychedelic jamband, a new band composed by stunning musicians, on the main cast, featuring on the guitar player Marc Walser and the bass player Arie Bertogg, both former members from the Swiss Blues Rock band called "Ginger" and on drums Dave Zurbuchenm. As guest musicians, Sarah Weibel on Vocals, Sandro Hussel on Dilruba and Esraj Michael Marti on the Organ. The band mix many different musical styles, we can describe their sound as a blend of Blues, full of fused guitar solos, also adorned by jazzy beats, including some electronic grooves, also psychedelia, adding long instrumental passages, as also they have some Progressive and Hard Rock influences. Together, Marblewood's music, sounds very powerful, the guitar solos are tasty, and floating in an amazing harmony, without aggressiveness, but sometimes a little fast and heavy, the guitar sound dictates the sense of the compositions, strong organ arrangements, follows the guitars, in a perfect marriage, complementing with a lush and powerful guitar bass sound, together with pulsating drums. Strong vocals adorn some of the compositions, giving a more hard touch the arrangements. Marblewood, brings together, in their compositions, different musical references from some amazing bands from years 70. We can hear some special hints of "Deep Purple", "Johnny Winter", "Pink Floyd", "King Crimson", "Jimi Hendrix Experience", "Cream", "Yardbirds", "Iron Butterfly", "The Mothers Of Invention" and so on. Marblewood's album features 6 long tracks in 77mins, in two formats, CD and a double vinyl. All tracks are impeccable, but i have a special attention to songs "Kailash", "Splendour", "Silence" this song is amazing, and the last track called "In the Beginning", this song was the first "jam", from the band, composed in the studio in 2013, is a long instrumental piece with 21min. Marblewood band and their debut album, "Marblewood", they have recorded an album that stands forward as one of the over interesting work from 2014. I have to say this is one of the best albuns I have listened to this year. What I really enjoy about this band and album is how the musicians use their influences to make it sound familiar, however, at the same, sounds exciting as something new and unheard. This splendid work is jam-packed with excellent compositions and impeccable production, filled with a strong musical feeling, a variety of interesting arrangements all in a positive sound that transports the listener to another demension. Brilliant and fantastic, an amazing album and band, highly recommendable... The

MARBLEWOOD
Like a warm golden light those ever-changing musical supernovae evolving in jams reach out on their recipients immediately, hooking them on their incredible freshness and playfulness. Blues-fused guitar solos meet heavy desert rock riffs, jazzy beats, electronic grooves and floydian psychedelia. Long instrumental passages feature additional organ and dilruba.
Whenever experienced musicians, rooted in rock music, embark on an endeavour to experimenting with sounds and collide with multiple styles improvising on a suspiciously high level, odds are about the same as observing the explosion of a dieing star: it does happen from time to time, but usually noone is present at the right time and place to keep record of it. Luckily this won't happen to the music of Marblewood.

Blues-fused guitar solos meet heavy desert rock riffs, jazzy beats, electronic grooves and floydian psychedelia. Long instrumental passages feature additional organ and dilruba.
The guys at the controls of that scenery have teamed up from different groups in the swiss psychedelic and jamband scene. Marc Walser (guitars, vocals) & Ariane Bertogg (bass) worked together for more than a decade and played nearly 200 shows in half of Europe.
Dave Zurbuchen (drums, vocals, keys) complets the team with his highly versatile and inspired drumming. Marblewood's first album, which is at the same time the official announcement of the band itself, promises a timeless listening experience that glows far beyond the tides of trends or fashion.
During one year, the trio has recorded every single session deliberately and out of those jams and sound-sketches, songs have evolved and matured.
This broad variety of styles and the experimental, jazzy approach to rock music have truly shaped the new groups sound: soulful blues guitars, heavy riffing, tricky beats and athmospheric soundscapes build the foundation for these epic songs with their long instrumental passages, that feature guest musicians on both organ and dilruba.
Marblewood's album is avaliable with two formats, doble Vinyl and CD.
